I remember a couple of years ago (2023 season, I believe) Florida State had a great season, but lost their star QB late in the year...and the "committee" passed FSU over, because it wasn't about "most deserving", but "best team right now, at the end of the year".
Does anybody remember that?
If so...does the "best teams at this point" reasoning still trump the "most deserving" reasoning?
I have a hard time believing that BOTH JMU and Tulane would be favored over ND in a game to be played a week from now.
Do you think the committee got it right (adding both JMU and Tulane to the CFP and leaving ND out)?
