I’m a HUGE Novak fan. He’s the best tennis player I’ve ever seen; and he’s hated by everyone because he’s not Fedal. I just placed a nice wager on Sinner. Sinner is playing the best tennis is the world right now and you’re getting 1.7x your money. I love that risk adjusted return. The odds were a little better yesterday, but I didn’t pull the trigger because I hate betting against my rooting interest. I also played Sinner to win it all, but a nominal amount. In hindsight I wish I wouldn’t have played tourney winner and just played the match today. The odds to win it all didn’t adequately price in the letdown from beating the goat and playing against 1 of two other excellent players in Zverev and Daniil.
Tennis wagering is very addictive because there are a ton of live wagering options. There are also an outsized number of players getting in trouble with throwing matches. But mostly, that’s in minor circuit events and by players 99.999% of people have never heard of.
