I'm for the current Wild West. Let the players get paid. At least wait a couple of years to see how everything shakes out. Imo, it's premature to start trying to restrict it/create a structure. If some fanbases are more motivated to support their team, so be it.

My only concern is I don't want to see a contraction of D1 football. It will be hard, if not impossible for teams to compete in non-rev sports if they are not in a D1 football conference.

But, back to NIL, the easiest fix would be ban non-profits from paying for NIL. Would that pass 1st Amendment scrutiny? Would any proposed restrictions pass 1st Am scrutiny? Who knows?

Just my opinion.
