There are those that make much more than $5 Million a year, but there are dramatically much more that don't. I still think you have to look at the overall picture, most coaches don't last long and are constantly moving to the next program. Most coaches would probably tell you, it isn't the most glamorous life and can be hard on the families. But everyone can go on about how much is too much for a coach and what the select few means to the overall university for dollars. Personally, I'd prefer that the average college football fan would quite calling for everyone to be fired so often and maybe those salaries wouldn't have been so high, but that is never going to happen.
Back to NIL, players can get paid through NIL. I think Dante Moore made close to $1 million last year. Did you see anything that showed he's worth that much? On a football field, I didn't.
If you are implying that football players should be considered employees and collect paychecks, I think you'd be on the path to destroying CFB as a whole. Most programs do not operate in the Black as it is and yet you need all the programs to make CFB successful.
