I have no idea why that matters. Coaches have worked on their crafts for decades longer than college kids. Moreover, MOST coaches dont make 5MM. There are probably less than 40 college coaches making anything close to that. Only the VERY best make anything in that ballpark. Most are making a fraction of that.

Also, players DO get compensated. At some places the in kind valuye of what they received is north of 150K/yr. PLUS they get admitted to schools they would never even get a sniff of but for their athletic skills.

I think the reasoning bechind the Kavanaugh opinion (which although was just a concurrence, is gonna wind up being the controlling opinion). But it's done.....so pay them whatever they can get from third party sources....

The end for a number of schools is if the athletes become employees. Collegiate athletics will be done at a lot of schools. I'm almost certain Northwestern said they would be done. I cant see the UC system making athletes employees either, or if the CA legislatures mandate, the system will collapse. The ONLY possibility of it surviving at UCLA is if they get invite to my Premier League concept and the $$ is just nuts. Otherwise, its too costly.
