What does the NFL have to do with paying college athletes. Plenty of kids that make ZILLIONS in the NFL are bust. Zack Wilson, Mitch Trubisky, Tony Mandarich, Erick Fisher, Jarmarcus Russell, the list is looooooooooooooong.
I happen to agree with you, but we lost the war. You need to adapt. Now that players are going to get paid, who gives two sh!ts how much they make? The only person I can see it affecting is the coaches. I'd argue it makes coaching and the locker room a more difficult place. I dont care who drives a Lambo or a Corrola. I dont care if someone is iced out or more traditional.
The one thing I think paying the players does diminish is the kids' desire/opportunity to get a college education, but the reality is most of these kids are there to play ball. Those who are college material will take advantage of the opportunity.
There is no need to really argue this anymore....they are going to get paid. I have no clue why that fact would diminish your passion for the sport. WHO CARES in the big picture. It doesnt hurt anyone that the RB is driving a tricked out Ford 350...
