You see, that argument about Chip's recruiting is circular and pointless. Let me explain. Let's go back to the opening of the NIL era. Gaiwer, head of MoW, complained often and directly that Ucla was fighting him off. They wouldn't allow MoW to place ads in their periodicals. They wouldn't do co-promotions with MoW. Ucla Athletics wouldn't invite MoW to attend fundraisers and dinners.

So, Ucla football falls into last place in the NIL sweepstakes as the schools that have the intelligence to build and maintain successful football programs went full speed ahead into the NIL campaigns. Not Ucla. They lagged badly. To this day, MoW has a fraction of the money that other programs have in their NIL budget.

Now, back to Chip. You ask Chip to recruit with no money and then call him a bad recruiter. Realize that recruiting at the high school and portal levels doesn't work without NIL money.

Chip was clear that he preferred to emphasize the portal over HS. This, of course, earned him boos at BRO and other media parasites since they thrive off the "star" ranks and all the tripe about HS recruiting classes.

So, now here comes you. The typical Bruin fan who is told what to think by the Bruin media parasites. How much did you hear about the resistance Jarmond put up to thwart MoW? I'll bet nearly zero. I'll bet you don't believe it right now. No, you were told that Chip is a bad recruiter....and you bought it hard. To this day, you believe it even though he did just fine in the portal where he concentrated his financial clout, such as it was.

I give you credit for recognizing his talents as a coach. You're rare here, and I appreciate your insight. But, you may want to reconsider your views of him as a recruiter, and your views of Jarmond as a competent AD. He just drove the program off the ledge.

"Being successful as an OC at OSU isn't indicative of much". Did you really mean to say that? So, if Chip is instrumental in producing the best offense in the country and delivering a NC to OSU, you'll shrug and say "no big deal"? Thinking is hard.

If anyone is to leave it's the meatheads who swallow the media parasite droppings whole who should leave. They're too stupid contemplate the program in a balanced light.
