I know it's obnoxious to repost this, but I've been banging this drum for a long long long time. Here's my list of 7 guys that are currently coaching a D1 football team that would make great, to perfectly good (perfectly good would be great) hires.
Please hire one of these guys or someone better.
Lance Leipold, Kansas
5 out of 6 D3 Championships. In his last 3 years at Buffalo finished 1st,2nd,1st. Went 2-10 in first year at Kansas, then 6-7, and 9-4 this year. This guy could be a great hire.

He just got hired at Louisville, so he might have a big buyout. Pay it. But, he's a Louisville guy, so ...
The bloom is off the Matt Campbell rose, but I'd take him.
Tim Albin, Ohio has turned around two teams (albeit one is NAIA), makes $700k. Pay him 3 bills and have plennnty of money for assistants. Won 10 games last 2 seasons.

Unfortunately, with our current problems, we probably can't reach out to a comparable to Mulluen - who I wanted last go-round. But, this is, imo, a super solid list. I'd be fine with any of these guys, and excited about Brohm, Leipold, Klieman.
