Indiana just hired its new coach. He was the HC at William and Mary and made <800k. They paid him 25.5mm over 6 plus a bunch of attainable bonuses. Do you really want to be the team with the lowest paid head coach in your conference while also being in the most expensive market in your conference?
You don’t know that the head coach of Ohio can coach in the Big 10. These guys fail at a massive rate. How many times have you watched Ohio to know what kind of coach he is.
You’d rather hire a nobody than Pete Carrol? Please explain that. How is that rational? Yeah, he’s not coming, but you said you’d prefer a nobody over a guy who’s won a NC, a Super Bowl and multiple power 5 conference championships.
