A couple dominos need to fall first, but Kelly could be reunited in Columbus with Ryan Day. That's being reported by secondary sources in Columbus tonight.

The dominos:
* Chip doesn't get the job in Seattle.
* Bill O'Brien gets the BC head job.

The one mole I still know in the Ohio State Athletic Department says BOB is as good as gone. Bob was in his office at the Woody Hayes today, but Ryan Day is already working on Plan B, which is his mentor and the guy he probably most trusts in all of football, Chip Kelly.

Kelly was a close finalist the first time around, but BOB was a less expensive alternative. Chip reportedly has a $1.5 million termination clause in his UCLA contract. And, he would demand at least $3 million to take the Ohio State OC job. Expensive for sure, but they seem to be printing money in the basement of Value City Arena these days.

One thing for sure, Ryan Day no longer wants to call the plays and there is nobody in the world that he would trust more with the key to the fleet of Ferraris that he has in the offensive skilled position rooms.

Also, take it to the bank that Kelly wants out of UCLA. That decision resulted when he presented a proposal to the AD and others as to what is needed to make the Bruins more competitive in football, and the proposal was flatly rejected.

Save the arrows for someone else, I'm just the messenger. What I said above is in play.
