To jump on your bandwagon, I’ve watched parts of some UConn games. The intensity they bring against some crappy teams is incredible. I don’t know how they keep it up.
My concern is that our slow start against Texas may have defined our season. Going into the tournament as the fourth best team is a horrible place to be. That likely means a repeat of last year: lsu in the round of 8. And lsu just beat duke as badly as we did. Then UConn in the semis. It’s a total bummer that SoCaro managed to squeeze past Louisville. The difference between a the 3rd 1 seed and 4th 1 seed is could be huge. But the sec will be a circus with Texas, SoCaro, lsu, then Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi.
And it looks like Michigan will be a challenge.
Back to fuzzy point, I hope we don’t lose another because we don’t come out ready. Last season it was pretty common for us to get a big first quarter lead and then lose the 2nd quarter by a few points and coast in the 2nd half.
Other general comments, Michigan might be a real threat. They gave UConn a hell of a game.
And watch out for the 2 teams with the superstar freshmen, sc and Oklahoma. To borrow a soccer analogy, Davidson is like a baby horse, or baby gazelle. She’s finding her legs. By the end of the season she could be fantastic. I haven’t seen Oklahoma since our game, but it seems like the same is happening with Chavez.
Sec should be crazy this season with Texas,
