just Watkins and Davidson, if they can play together, and I'm sure they can, take those two and a roster of JAG's (just a gal) and that's going to be a great team. But, they have Smith and that little guard who is a pest coming back. They currently have the number one rated recruiting class coming in, including the number one ranked recruit. And, their coach is relentless. She has said that her goal is to make sc the number women's basketball team, and she means it. Cori talks about how "rings just gather dust, character development is what college sports is all about." That's very nice. But, if I'm betting on long term success, I'm betting on the pit bull, not the lab.
For me, this right here is very likely the pinnacle of UCLA women's basketball. UCLA hasn't been a top women's basketball school since the 70's. And, I'm not expecting it to be after these 7 seniors move on. Enjoy it now :-)
Not that any particular one appears to have been a devastating loss (it'll take a while to know), but if we hadn't lost the 5 Freshmen, I might be more optimistic. But, losing the 5 Frosh, plus Janiah, plus not having any commitments for next season's freshman class ......
