I agree, Chip screwed us. And, Jarmond screwed us by not firing him at the end of the season.

But, I posited a guy who was winning in the MAC, and had won where he'd been before, was making $600K/year. I can't believe that guy wouldn't take our call after bowl season.

Foster was hired because he knew what he was getting into and was willing to accept the contraints. Jarmond didn't have to explain anything. CDF knows the deal.

I meant to mention, in reference to having been ok with a perpetual .500 "books and ball" team - Jarmond has said that is the goal. He specifically said the goal was "to win more than we lose." No one wants to hear that, but he said it.

In the NIL era, I don't know if that is a viable goal. Football (for some reason more than basketball, I don't know why) seems to me that it will be a severe have/have not sport. Even more than it is now. Like, there won't be much of a middle ground, except the season is short and the have nots can play each other a lot.
