HC salaries are ballooning at much higher rates than their coaches. UCLA's NIL deals will not be able to compete nationally. I'm a broken record, but Chip Kelly really f'ed UCLA's AD, coaching staff, and players by the timing of his departure.
EB will make big money again. Right now, the message I'm getting is this is about something much bigger. It's about building something special again at Ucla first. It's about giving a HC a chance to build something for the future and if him being a coach of color chance to build something much bigger, then that much better. I think the message that can get sent is if we do this together, do the work first, the money will come later.
I think (definitely hope) that's the message for the incoming. If Ucla can get back, I think the money comes back.
Ucla football has a serious uphill battle. This won't be for everyone. Gonna be tough, but the reward could be huge
