I don't know.

I think, of all positions, running back would be the easiest to convey your knowledge. Pass blocking would be the most difficult thing to teach, most likely.

Perkins was coached up by CDF, who has a damn good track record coaching up backs. Seems like he's as worth a shot as anyone else.
