So you're saying that today's college offenses are less demanding than the hs offense I ran 40ish years ago that required pre-snap and post-snap reads?
Sorry, bruh, you're just very wrong on this one. EVERY college pass play requires a read. Let's say the play call is "back shoulder fade to Marvin Harrison in the corner of the end zone". But when the qb gets to the line, he sees 3 guys lined up over Marv. He's going to "read" that "coverage" (pre-snap) and go somewhere else with the ball. If he doesn't, he's a bum.
