I can't help but wonder at what point to donors back off?

These guys who will give a million or more a year to the NIL...at what point to they pull back funds if the teams are not winning? Do they just keep handing over millions if it is not helping the team to the top?

Maybe I am just looking at this through the eyes of a poor person without millions to donate...but I just don't see how long people will keep giving huge $$$ if they are not getting a good enough return on the field.
