They are just trying to get clicks by making conspiratorial takes.

It’s standard practice for special counsels to resign after they have concluded their case. Mueller had resigned well prior to his testimony.

My guess is he has his next gig lined up. Probably back to private practice. Maybe back to Gibson Dunn where he was prior to being appointed special counsel. If I had to guess he timed his resignation to maximize his government check while he prepared for his testimony, and now will go back to a firm. Resigning right before testifying gave him some wiggle room to avoid certain questions, but if you watched the testimony he rarely played that card.

If you watched the testimony you would know the fear mongering from the msnbc types that he resigned in order to smear Biden during testimony was unfounded. He stuck to the conclusions in the report.

Frankly Dems should be thanking Hur. The evidence of guilt was pretty overwhelming. He’s on tape telling his ghost writer that he found classified documents and he read one of them to him. Hur explained how, despite this damning evidence, he couldn’t be sure a jury would convict because they might decide Biden subsequently forgot that he had those documents. To me this was a far fetched explanation for not prosecuting, but one Dems should be thanking him for, not complaining about.
