so it gives you an option to resign for multiple reasons. If a coach is just burned out, suffers a trauma, or has physical issues, obviously not really fair to make him responsible for a major financial settlement. That's why I had such an issue with the way the Chip Kelly thing happened. I think he could have quit at some point and negotiated something small with Ucla, but think he was trying to get fired for the buyout. I know OSU paid it off, but thought it was quite a bit more, which is why Ucla was able to offer Foster or another HC a somewhat decent amount of money.

There is just so much discussion lately about if Lane was right or wrong, a bad guy or good guy, etc. that I still think exposes that there are serious problems with CFB. Especially with the timing of LOI signing schedule, Transfer Portal schedule, and so on and it sounds like the NCAA really doesn't have much if any control over any of that. Even what you have as a proposal, who would enact it?
