Concrete thinkers have a hard time with abstract thought. The idea that the football team would be separated from the university itself is too abstract and beyond reach for the yokels that call themselves Bruin fans. It's painful to imagine, so the brain shuts it down and dismisses the notion entirely.

Suffice to say it would be easy to do, it would energize the program and you wouldn't necessarily even know it happened.
