I know some don't like bienemy's past. I think they're just going to have to suck it. Those people can't complain that chip doesn't cheat and has built a team of clean cut boy scouts that do great in the classroom and are scandal free, but chip doesn't win enough. If winning is all that matters, then Ucla might need to do business with characters that have an unsavory past. Luckily, EB didn't seem to have any issues when he was at Ucla for 3 years.
Ucla has saved some money at the QB and DL asst coach spots. Maybe EB can be had at 1.5 MM or so.
EB had the reputation of being an aggressive recruiter at Ucla. Within days of becoming the Ucla RB coach, he got a commitment from Maurice Drew, aka, Maurice Jones Drew. That seems to be an area where Ucla fan wants to feel secure about a coach's commitment.
