Looking at some the data points during Sabans tenure at Bama (let’s also not forget how fricking good he was at LSU too). Two things stood out to me:
1. Of the last 15 cfb champs 13 either best Bama on their way in the CFP or Bama championships.
2. Nick Saban conference record in the best conference during his tenure:

16-1 vs Tennessee
16-1 vs Miss St
15-2 vs Ole Miss
13-5 vs LSU
12-5 vs Auburn
10-2 vs Texas A&M
8-1 vs Florida
8-2 vs UGA
6-0 vs Kentucky
4-0 vs Vandy
2-0 vs Mizzou
