I’m sure it wasnt cheap, although many were reclamation projects or (at that time) unknowns.

There are a few reports out there that there has never been a more lucrative college contact than between Bama and Saban. MOST LUCRATIVE FOR BAMA.

I don’t remember the exact numbers, but the cost of the FB staff was something like 100mm or so. During that time enrollment more than doubled and became out of state enrollment exploded. This lead to something like ONE BILLION of additional revenee. Plus the jobs etc. I’ll try to find the exact numbers. It was astounding.
