There's no chance we'll ever be competitive in this landscape. The football program has never been the priority here that it is in other places and we can't compete in this environment. It's just the reality of it, schools and the alumni make decisions about what's important to them and UCLA has always prioritized other things. We don't need to end the program but we absolutely should move to some sort of Ivy league equivalent or D2 or whatever. Being a pinata for Michigan and Ohio State and the like isn't going to be much fun.
"NIL" has absolutely nothing to do with "name, image or likeness". It's just a way to pay the players for their work. Fine, let them cash in on what they're helping to create. I don't mind seeing them get a chunk of the big money college football generates, but they absolutely should get taxed. They're employess like everyone else and they should pay taxes like everyone else. The 501c3 baloney is just that, baloney.
