I don't see any kind of real dissatisfaction with Cronin, so it's best to just get used to this guy.

I'm not sure when UCLA's standards for men's hoops fell so low, to the point where our coach can publicly shame his own players after every defeat while only ever disingenuously accepting responsibility, but here we are. This is the furthest it's ever felt from John Wooden, imo. And no, this is not the 1970s, but I've always thought that the program was bigger and better than one coach. Harrick, Howland, even Lavin at times...these guys did a lot for UCLA basketball, and they acted professionally every single day they were coach.

Mick Cronin is a very, very average basketball coach, and he lacks the personality traits that today's players most value in their coach. This means that the success we have from this point forward, with this coach, is happening in spite of him, not because of him.

Losing to Michigan (or any team) by 30 is bad. But it's nowhere near as bad as acting like a child over and over and over, when the young men he coaches most need him to act like an adult. That's the problem, and that's the reason I have zero patience for Cronin.
