2. Note the time of my post (adjusting for the fact that Bruinzone seems to be permanently on Daylight Saving Time (i.e. my post showing at 21:05:58 was actually posted at 20:05:58)
3. Note that the game tipped off at about 7:45 p.m. (aka 19:45)
4. Note that a quick calculation will reveal that I posted my comments about 20 minutes (real time, not game time) after the game started
I would proffer the fact that a team's total points in a game isn't necessarily reflective of that team having a good offensive performance. It could be largely, or in good part, attributable to the pace of the game as influenced by the opponent.
Seriously, though, yes, things got a bit better, as barrya pointed out in a reply to my OP. But there was still way too much 1-on-1 nonsense and way too little TEAM offense for my tastes.
