last night. Cronin seems to think their heads just weren't in the right place. Let's hope he's right because that's something that can be fixed and if last night was their best effort then they're in real trouble.
The Bruins also looked terrible inside on the defensive side which is troubling. Perhaps Cronin is right because last night it looked to me that the Bruins could have run away with the game on various occasions but never appeared to put their foot down on the pedal and just cream the obviously over matched Eastern Washington. Playing passively or lackadaisically with no sense of urgency will inevitability come around and bite one on their ass no matter how good they think they may be.
IMO and experience every player needs to find a way to get themselves ready mentally to play. Sometimes it can be difficult to do so but they have to find a way to do it. Next, the captains need to make sure everyone has done their job to prepare themselves. And ultimately the coach has to find a way when all else fails. Last night they didn't appear to be prepared to play - they were "sleep-walking" through the game. Everyone is responsible, but the buck stops with the coach.
