Other teams, like the LAC, have owners with massive wealth, almost all of which comes from things other than their bball team. They are willing to take $ out of their piggy (elephant?) bank and plop it into their nba toy.
Now the LAL franchise will have that same flexibility. Maybe. We'll see how aggressively Mark Walter wants to be. Does LAL move out of DTLA and abandon the crypt? Can Inglewood accommodate ANOTHER stadium/arena?
With the salary cap, there's only so much any franchise can pay for players...unless luxury tax is such a relative pittance for new ownership that LAL can fart in its general direction and try to assemble an Avengers-style roster.
