Nothing sells like an overreaction by the other side. They are reporting 100 people injured, one hospitalized. My guess is that the protesters would gladly make that deal for the massive amount of coverage world wide this is getting.
Even before last night, the tone of the coverage around the world was "Muslim protesters being arrested in the US." I feel like, until last night, a great deal of restraint was being exercised wrt the protests. But, the focus of the coverage was the arrests. That's what the organizers want.
