What's the logic proposed by people who think privitizing SS

is going to help whatever problem it's supposed to help with? I know that there's a weird, naive belief in the magic of capitalism in this culture but how is that logic supposed to work? The first thing you introduce into a system when you privatize it is a layer of people who look at it as a source of revenue not tapped into. What is the argument that says SS recipients would benefit from being turned into someone else's cash cows?
