2 national championships, 3 years in the NFL, and 2 more CFP appearances at Oregon.

The offensive scheme doesn't seem to be Cal's problem, and I'm sure Lupoi has a lot of input on the defensive scheme, being DC at both Alabama and Oregon.

What I'd criticize is it looks like he spent too much money on "skill" players and not enough money or time recruiting both sides of the line. That is clearly where Saturday night's game was won and lost.
