Which six sports do you see surviving?

Basketball and football are givens. Volleyball as no addition facilities are needed. Softball and soccer would help balance out the Title IX totals. Do cheer team members fall under the athletic department's realm?

I am at a loss for the sixth. Maybe cross country due to its low costs. Need a nation wide running boom again to increase its shallow domestic recruiting base. With childhood and adult obesity on the rise, I don't see it happening. College gymnastics has a decent fan following and no viable professional circuit but its operating costs are very high. Not sure how many ADs want to back baseball with its dwindling numbers. Does college wrestling make a comeback? If so what women's sport would be its participation numbers counterpart?
