You and Hapoy are using the wrong standard. It’s not whether a change is necessary or needed (nothing is either), the correct standard is does it make the game better.

I think the answer is yes. It adds strategy. Even in the NFL you see multiple errors around the 2 minute timeout and end of game scenarios. These high leverage situations add a lot to the most important part of the game — the end.

It’s not a pound on the table issue for me, but if we are going to start playing on the periphery, the strategy/talking points outweigh the problem of another time out.

Thr one major change in college sports that needs to happen is going to quarters in college hoop. Same theory as above the 2 for one scenarios at the end of each Q add a ton of strategy and excitement. Who knows why college coaches always eschew the 2 for 1 options so often. Makes me pound my head against the wall.
