both the basketball teams and the football team. That's one of the definitions of fans. Very few posters here ever had the opportunity to play D1 level ball, and I'm pretty sure no one here ever played for UCLA, so none of us can really claim to truly understand the pressures, responsibilities, and challenges of playing at a high level with the "four letters" on our chests.
Of course, those challenges pale in comparison to surviving the mean streets of some inner cities, or making it through a war zone with your body, mind, and soul in one piece, or just trying to pay the rent and buy groceries with the same paycheck.
I find it pretty easy to ignore the posts of people whose points of view I find generally diametrically opposed to mine. I've learned that's easier for me than reading something I expect will be of little use to me.
