Was WR coach and Associate Head Coach at Clemson when Tommy Bowden got bounced midway through a season. Dabo got the interim HC job for rest of the season, and was retained afterwards. The rest is history. So not exactly like our situation plus Dabo had a rep for being a good recruiter.
