was his responsibility at UCLA. Not just winning games and recruiting players but engaging with fans and especially donors, at which Chip was even worse than he was at winning games and recruiting players.
I've never met Graiwer but I've heard him speak. He seems to have a clear vision for MoW that goes well beyond pay for play, and seems well connected to other donors whose thoughts and goals are similar to his.
If he "slobbers" over Cronin, it's probably for the same reason I do; Cronin wins and loves UCLA and engages with fans and donors.
I agree basketball and football are different, and not only when it comes to NIL, but they are exactly the same in one critical way; winning puts butts in the seats and bucks in the coffers.
If NIL is failing for football, that's clearly on Chip and not Graiwer.
Of course, anyone who thinks Graiwer isn't up to the task is free to start their own NIL collective. I'm sure there's plenty of money just waiting for a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Bruin with a positive attitude and imagination who will take responsibility for their own success or failure, and not blame or criticize others.
