Why the F Would UCLA Waive Chip’s Buy-Out?

UCLA has been held brutal hostage by Chip’s oppressive $8.5 then $4.5 million retention buyout ..and …ESPECIALLY since Chip’s departure buy-out was ALREADY negotiated DOWN from the “mirror” component, which would’ve required Chip to pay the SAME. $$ to UCLA if he bailed his contract.
And now Chip self-servingly, detrimentally blindsides the program in recruiting commitment season (ha!) and with the asst coaching staff gutted.
and likely cash flush OSU will pick up that tab …how stupid is it to throw away free money?.
