He’s not a head coach. Sean McDermott is the HC. Joe Brady is the OC.
Maybe that’s still a demotion. Pay him $7mm and 4-5mm for assistants. Brady is now seasoned enough to have sufficient contacts to assemble a strong staff.
In hindsight Fisch seems like the right guy. I think Kelly’s O scheme and his ability to adjust is better, but I wouldn’t be opposed to pursuing Fisch either. Plus Fisch has HC experience.
