Rapinoe is one of my favorites, too. So bummed when she tore that ACL back in December. I still think she'll be back, since she's an amazing physical specimen and still just 30.

Johnston was a revelation at the World Cup. She was good before, but it's amazing how some players blossom under the brightest lights.

Yeah, I'm with you. Soccer is probably the only sport I'll pay much attention to at the Olympics. I might glance at the rest of it if there seems to be an interesting story, but that's about it.

I've watches some NWSL games too, mostly to watch former Bruins, especially Lauren (gonna miss her -- what a talent!), and I agree, they are very entertaining. I love the women's soccer has sped up so much in the last 8 years or so. It was frankly a bit lugubrious in the past, and that may just have a lot to do with the advancement of the rest of the world. Definitely entertaining now, but I still mostly focus on games featuring former Bruins.
