My sabermetric problem with that

For each spot you move down in the batting order you lose an expected 18 plate appearances per season. Moving down say, 5 spots mweans almost 100 fewer plate appearances> For a 320 power hitter vs a 250 non-power hitter that's a pretty significant reduction in production.

So I just have a personal preference of putting my most productive hitters in the top 4 spots.

But yeah I know it's more complicated than that.
