I'm surprised there is no name calling for Broxton today. After one blown save (but not blown game) you act as though the man can never find the strike zone, whereas in real life he has one of the best SO/BB ratio in the league.
Andre has carried the Dodgers for the first twenty-some games, more so than Manny. They walk Manny in a lot of tight situations, and Andre has delivered.
Yes, he's in a slump, as every player goes through more than once in a seaason. And you know what, they all look terrible when they are in a slump. Martin looked like he didn't know what to do at all at the plate, dropping below .200. Now he's hitting two eighty something. Loney goes to Philly and delivers two clutch HR after everyone wondered about the power. But you are dead wrong when you say Andre "needs" Manny. Hey, he hit BEHIND Manny. That means he was the one protecting Manny, if you will, not vice versa. Most of the time, when he was on fire, Andre had a slumping Martin hit behind him, and still delivered.
