I don't know if a team with a sub-500 record overall has been invited to the regionals, but there have been several teams just a couple of games above .500 overall who have made it in with strong conference records. The Bruins are .500 overall, so they certainly have a chance to get in if they take care of business against Cal and Arizona State and get a few non-conference wins against high-ranked teams like UCI and Fullerton. Losing to Bakersfield and/or Long Beach State would not impress the selection committee.
