The old adage is play .700 at home and .500 on the road, and you'll wind up with a .600 record and into the post season.
Well, we are playing .500 on the road so far, but just a little better than .700 at home, :-) Of course, no one expects our home percentage to continue, LOL, but I think we've played something like .800 ball at home since the arrival of Manny.
The news on pitching is that Kuroda seems to be ready to come back, and Schmidt actually threw 85 pitches in a "spring training game," whatever that means. But if the latter is really okay, and gets back to anything like his Cy Young form, we'd have a pretty good rotation with Billingsley, Kershaw, Kuroda, Wolf, and Schmidt. All we need is a reliable set-up man. I am still hoping that Kuo can do the job.
