The Bruins are 2 games below .500 right now. The Pac 10 and the Southern Calif area is concentrated with outstanding baseball teams.
Oregon St was left out of the tournament last year with a season that was not much better than UCLA's. It's tough to go on a streak in the Pac 10 with stanford, ASU, Oregon ST, USC etc.
It's definitely an important game against Cal State Bakersfield. A late season loss to the Runners would not bode well. CSUB has been competitive in games and anything can happen on a given day.
UCLA is really going to have to win most of their conference series the rest of the season. I have just not been impressed with Savage and his game day strategys.
