Why Engoron increased Jones authority in NY Case

Jones is the retired independent monitor that has the authority to monitor Trumps financing. Engoron recently gave her even more authority and access. Financial experts are weighing in on why and the most common reason given is they're all hearing rumors Trump is actively trying to get money from foreign entities, including Russian and Saudi sources, which is expressly forbidden in the terms of the deal(depends from what country).

So Engoron gave Jones more authority so if he does post the bond, Jones has the power to dig into where the money actually came from.
