A woman on the committee who reviwes GSA related requests on government buildings says they uncovered a plot by the Trump admin to tear down 4 more historical government buildings, one that honors black soldiers, withot going through the required review processes. GSA confirmed the report from Friday saying it appears the administration is trying to circumvent the process by saying the buildings are unsafe and need to be torn down.
The only actual reason given is Trump put out an edict a few months ago that all buildings had to conform to his view of what they should look like based on Greek or Roman architecture and they flagged these 4 buildings as not conforming. When they found out GSA had to approve it, they apparently changed plans and are trying to declare the buildings unsafe.
