First, despite how poorly Oregon’s offense played (or how well our defense was - take your pick), you have to expect that in Eugene, it’s only a matter of time before Oregon starts to score. So that goes into the thinking, which has no opportunity for hindsight. It’ a risk, and everyone knows that if you make it, it was great, and if you don’t, it’s awful.
Ont he last one, keep in mind that Moore-less Oregon had to start their next drive on the 2 or 3 yard line. I don’t think they did much with that.
