When I grew in So. Cal., you were either a Trojan fan or a Bruin fan. Kids in schools wore Ucla or $c hats and shirts. When I fly in, very rarely do I see anything Ucla. I'd bet if you really looked, people are wearing more SEC and B10 teams other than the LA team's gear. I'd really like to see coaches and players really trying to get LA County or So. Cal. kids wanting to wear Ucla gear again.
There's a lot that has to be done, but I think you'd be surprised how far that alone can go.
