I don't think they punish a team for being in a Conference Championship game. If Duke wins, I don't think they would be considered for the CFP. I haven't paid much attention to the ACC, but I think that choice would come down to UVA or Miami at that point.
I thought JMU would more likely come down to what happens with their game and what happens between North Texas and Tulane.
