The better programs will go hard at the end of the year because they can attract elite recruit who blossom their senior year.
These are still young kids who are growing. If you recruit late, you have more information to assess these players.
UCLA does not have the money to offer for a last minute recruiting push which is why we work best earlier in the season.
We will lose some of our current recruits that blow up and get better offers. We will make some mistakes for players who don't develop their senior year.
However we will get some players prior coaches overlooked not understanding when an offer from UCLA has it's most power.
